Neil Alford
Special Projects Producer
Neil Alford has extensive media experience from writing and producing to editing and shooting. After finishing up his Bachelor's and football career at University of Mississippi he ventured into corporate America and began his broadcasting career at CNN.
During his time with CNN he wore many hats, learning production from every angle. Most recently he was Senior Producer of CNN's "American Stories", a highly rated, innovative, new program that explored the vast wealth of CNN's affiliate resources across the U.S. and exposing the talents of local journalist.
Before that he showed his versatility by becoming the Producer of CNN's "Greenfield at Large", and assisted "NewsNight with Aaron Brown". Prior to that he exploited his talents and range by heading up CNN's Military Desk in the months following September 11th.
His teeth were cut at CNN's longest running and highest rated daytime program, "Burden of Proof",(winner of the 2000 Bar Assn. of Georgia's Silver Gavel Award) where high expectations come with the territory. He produced and wrote for the legal duo of Greta Van Susteren and Roger Cossack.
His talents have also been seen on projects with PBS, CBS, CNNsi, and Headline News. Neil was a committee member for CNN's Server-Based Transition Team that was the winner of the 1999 Advanced Images Magazine "Imaging Solutions of the Year".
